I'm sorry but

I just can't give you a good score or review. This isn't an original and it's not even an attempt at a remix or anything. Its the same song and you even used a midi to get some of the sounds.
I will admit that I messed with some FF songs before, BUT I would always try to remix them or change the tune so its a different song, and then I wouldn't go saying that I made it or upload it to any website.
Try to make some thing new. It sounds like you could be good at original stuff if you tried.

Could have been better

I liked it, but it sounds a little under developed. Spend more time on your next project and I could hear it being a lot better.
You built it up for a little bit but then just stopped. Didn't sound like it went anywhere after that. Pretty good though. ^_^
Keep at it!

LfunkeyA responds:

yeah well, anyone can make techno, but not everyone can make good techno :). anyways, thanks for the review.

eh its alright

If your gonna have the balls to call this Hip Hop then you should make me want to pump it up. Right now I ain't got that feeling. Its too bland and subdued. I could hear some phat lyrics in my head to this, if you would just put some in there that scream out at the listener then it would be better. At one point I could even hear this being a breakin type of song but you pulled away from that. It seems like you just put song out before they are finished. You could do better I am sure.

Sounds cool

Trance is a hard genre to get really well, because there is a lot going on though it sounds like just a little. Add some overtones like wind sounds or something to go with the song, that doesn't necessarily move within the structure you set for the song.
Sounds nice, but as said before it is a little repetative. Just keep working with it.

Heaven6 responds:

thanks! glad you like it!

This sounds awsome!

The only grudge I could come up with is the lack of originality in the drum part. The percussion should be way more diverse. On the other hand the bass makes up for it. ^_^ Great job with this.

Heaven6 responds:

yay!

Superb!

This is quite fascinating to listen to another composers ideas.
I like the changes of mood, and the solo-ist violin.
If there was a way for you to add a reverb to the orchestra as to make it sound like a concert hall, that would be a great addition!
This is remeniscent of the great Russian composers. Great job Rocky. (all I could think about when hearing this is a communist society with propoganda all over the city)

MusicalRocky responds:

Hey, thanks for reviewing.

This piece does go through quite a few different moods, all rather dark lol (how very like me). Hm reverb? I've never done that, but it sounds like a good idea.

Reminiscent of great Russian composers? Like Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky? Lol jk. Well that's a great compliment, thanks.

Lol the communism and the Russia and the propoganda :D

Thanks,
Rocky

I say!

I did enjoy this quite a bit. If you would ever be interested in mixing genre's of music I would be willing to make a collab with you! :D Its amazing to hear symphonic orchestras mixed with computerized sounds.
About the song though. It seems the only problem that you are facing with this at the moment is your compression. I think that if you were to use a compression of some sort to eleminate the extra feed back in higher notes, it would be a perfect ten!
(I listened to some other songs on here too. Might go review some more! XD)

MusicalRocky responds:

Eight reviews now! Woot! Lol

I'm glad you enjoyed this, man. Of course I'd love to collab; collabs are awesome fun. It would be interesting indeed to see our styles intermingle >:)

Dunno much about all those fancy words like...reverb, compression, and all those options you have in Fruity or whatever lol. I only load the VST and load the instruments and change the bitrate and make the mp3. I need to learn things like that though. Then again, I didn't make this mp3 either. (Go yell at Winterwind lolz)

Haha don't feel obligation to review everything you here man. It's good to know you just like my music. I'll add you on AIM or something and we can talk about the world of collaborations.

Good just thus far. :D

Sounds good considering you just started not too long ago.
One thing that I would suggest is not using popular vocals like the "Prepare for launch in..." because they are over used.
I can tell that you are using the Fruity Loops preset instruments by the way. You can really do a whole lot with just simple filters and editing the basic sounds.
The lead sound should probably fade in instead of starting so briliantly like you had it.
Keep practising and getting better cause I can hear potential. ^_^

It was good but could improve

There is always room for improvement, but this sounds pretty good for your second submission. Like the other guy said it is quite empty through out the majority of it. Good use of the voices cept for the pause infront of the first one I believe.
Continue on with your techno self.

I love pizzicato

I am not sure if the record scratching sound was supposed to be there or not but I think it added to the old 1930's quality.
Sounded very original and well thought out. One thing that you might want to change about it is the panning. In a traditional orchestra the violins sit to the left (middle left) and the lower strings sit to the right. The way you had it, it sounded as though you were behind the orchestra.
Over all it was very nice! ^_^

Soundshifter responds:

wow thx for your input and thx for listening :) now i know for next time:)

I have played video games since I was a wee little two year old. I love just about any videogame and type of music.
